• Mrs. M. Rawat, PGT (Physics) KV Andrews Ganj was felicitated by Intel on 5^th Sept, 07. The event was hosted by Fusion Club, network of  Delhi region at Oberoi hotel, New Delhi. The chief guest of the program was Dr. Craig Barret, Chairman of the Board. Intel Corporation, Chairman, UN GAID. Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Mr. R.Sivakumar, Managing Director, Intel, Mr. Ashutosh chadha, Education Manager, Intel. There were about 190 teachers and principals, 25 Preservice teacher Educators, 35 Government school teachers, milestone teachers, ISEF winners and senior officials from the universities and schools across the country. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

n  Mrs. Amita Kohli , PGT (Eng) participated in the KVS Incentive Award Ceremony in Sept 2007 as the Anchor of the function.

n  Dr. Arti Srivastav & Ms. Sultana (Librarian) both as resource persons attended the 3 days three workshops for on site training of librarians.

• Mrs. Reena Chakravorty, PGT (Eng), Mrs.  Veena Chawla,TGT (Eng.) & Mrs. Neeraj P.Sharma ,PRT as resource person conducted a three day workshop in Communicative English for Primary Teachers

 

 

 

SELF GROOMING

Besides organizing and conducting various seminars, our teachers from time to time attend workshops to update their knowledge and to equip themselves with the latest methods of teaching. They also participate as resource persons.

 

Mr. Jagat Singh PGT Maths attended 9th KVS Maths Olympiad training camp phase II as resource person from 24th  to 29th December 2007.

 

Mrs. Reena Chakravorty, PGT (Eng), Mrs.  Veena Chawla,TGT (Eng.) & Mrs. Neeraj P.Sharma, PRT as resources person  conducted a three day workshop in Communicative English for Primary Teachers from 6^th to 8^th May 2007.

 

Mrs Amita Kohli , PGT (Eng) attended three workshops each for 3 days as Resource Person for on site training to TGTs English at KV Sec-4, R.K.Puram.

Mr. Jose Cherian, PGT(Physics) attended three workshops each for 3 days as Resource Person for On-Site training to TGT’s(Physics) at KV Andrews Ganj.

Mrs. Anita Singh PGT (Bio.) attended workshops on

a)     Green Manual Programme at India Habitat Center.

b)     On ‘Mushroom Culture’

c)     5days workshops at NCERT on script writing for Development of Multimedia CD on Bio Molecules.

 

Mrs. Reena Chakravarty attended 5 days British Council Hornby  ELT seminar on young learners from 25 to 29 march 08.

 

Mrs.Manjusha Rawat attended:

 

a)     12 days In Service course for PGTs Physics.

b)     These days three workshops in On Site Training.  

c)     5 Days Workshop on ‘Development of Learning Material’ at NCERT.

d)     5 Days programme entitled ‘Orientation of Master Trainers In Physics For CBSE Affiliated Schools At Higher Secondary Stage’ from 23 July 07 to 27 July 07.

 

·        Mrs.Manjusha Rawat PGT (physics) was felicitated by INTEL on 5^th September 2007 for her contribution towards 21^st century education.

 

Mr. Sanjay Kumar TGT Maths attended 3 days Mathematics Olympiad Training programme at Regional Level from 26^th to 28^th December 2007.

 

Mr. N.Prakash PGT(Physics) attended refresher course for National Adolescence Education programme from 4^th to 5^th October 2007.

 

Mrs C.Saini PGT(Eng) attended 4 days orientation programme for master trainers on the use of New text book at Ajmer from 11^th to 14 June 2007. She also attended one day Teleconference at SCERT, Gurgaon.

 

Mr.S.N.Yadav PGT(Maths) attended 7 days project titled ‘What us educators can learn from India’ from 1^st to 7^th June 2007.

 

Mrs. K.Kaur PGT (Bio.) attended refresher programme for NAEP at ZIET Mumbai from 20^th to 22^nd July 2007.

Mrs. K.Kaur PGT (Bio.) as resource Person attended workshop to train nodal teachers for NAEP from 6^th to 10^th August 2007.

 

Mr.Trikha Ram PGT (Hindi) attended 12 days In-Service course for PGT Hindi at Gwalior.

 

Mr.P.P.Banswal(TGT) S.Science and Mrs. Bhateja (TGT) Eng. Attended the training programme for Nodal Teacher under NAEP from 6^th to 10 August 2007.

 

Mr. U.S.Mishra music teacher attended 12 days In Service course at ZIET Mysore.

 

All teachers from the Primary Section attended 3 days workshop on communicative English at KV Andrews Ganj from 6^th to 8 May 2007.

 

Mrs. Shobha Saxena (HM) attended one day workshop for HMs at Delhi Cantt-1.

 

Mrs. Shashi Kapoor attended  3 days workshop for HM from 21 to 23^rd June 2007 and 2 days workshop for HM from 10^th to 11^th December 2007.

 

Mrs. Kalpana Sharma (PRT) attended a workshop on ‘Peace Education among Primary Children‘.

 

Mrs. Archana Gupta with NIE conducted a workshop on class-room interaction.

 

Mrs.C.K.Rawat as trainer attended the Divisional & State Rallies for Cubs & Bulbuls at KV JNU.

Students

 

 

1. In Green Olympiad organized by TERI on 29^th September 2007, 34 students participated of which two students Archana of std. VII and Parthiv of std. X received merit certificate.

2. In the 7^th National Cyber Olympiad held on 6^th Sept. 07, 33 students from class VI to XII participated. Prateek Gupta secured 325 rank in all India and was selected for 2^nd round of Olympiad .

3. In 10^th National Science Olympiad held on 29^th Nov’07 ,160 students from classes III to XII participated , 37 from II shift .10 students qualified and reached the 2^nd round .Shivani Srivastava of VI E and Rahul Sharma of IX E cleared the first round. Master Nalin of XII secured 382 rank in All India, Master Prateek Gupta of std. XII secured 531 rank in all India and Master Shashank Shekher Nayak secured 746 in All India .

4. 47 students of class VIII and 19 from X participated in 1^st stage NTSE exam 2007- 2008 held on 18^th Nov ‘07. Two students from the Vidyalaya were selected in 2006-07 exam.

5. Shri Rang of VII D secured 2^nd position in Sanskrit Bhashan Competition organized by Delhi Sanskrit Academy

6. Shri Rang also received 2^nd prize in the Sanskrit Debate Competition organized by NCERT. He was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1600/-.

7.  Aishwarya of class VII, Piyush of std. IX and Yamini of std. VII and Kamal of VIII E received consolation prizes of Rs.  600/- each in the Sanskrit Debate quiz and solo song respectively organized by NCERT.

8. Pritish Pallow of class IX in category ‘A’ topped the Vidyalaya in the Young Scientist Talent Test 2007 conducted by Uniglobal Technologies Inc. USA.

9. Shubham Hari Om of IX-E won 1^st prize in Essay Writing competition organized by CSIR Headquarter on 26^th September’07

10. Ayesha of X-E stood first in ‘Road Safety’ competition organized by Delhi Traffic Police.

11. Kartik Dhuriand and Abhinav Soni of class IX participated in one month’s summer programme at National Museum of Natural History to explore Nature and Environment. Kartik Dhuriand stood 2nd in Hindi Declamation and was awarded by Minister of state for environment and forests Sh. Namo Narayan Meena. Abhinav Soni was also titled as best trekker
