Kendriya Vidyalaya ,Andrews Ganj is one of the pivotal institutions established as early as 1967.It has a permanent school building-constructed on a piece of land measuring 3 Acres,very prominently situated near  MoolChand  Flyover on J.B.Tito Road in South Delhi,well connected with all parts of Delhi.

Salient Features of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan

The Kendriya Vidyalayas are run by the Kendriya Vidyalayas Sangathan ,an autonomous body formed by the Ministry Of Education ,Govt. of India, New Delhi , as a of the recommendations of the Second Pay Commission. They primarily cater to the educational needs of the children of Central Govt. Employees including Defence Personnel and floating population liable to frequent transfers through out the country. Need less to say ,therefore they have common syllabus and are affiliated to the C.B.S.E ,New Delhi.

              Every school hence is a ‘Miniature India’ in itself and tries to inculcate in its students feelings of patriotism , brotherhood And national integration. Places chosen for establishing Kendriya Vidyalayas are those having concentrations of Defence Personnel and other transferable Central Govt. Employees for admission.The Vidyalayas give priority to the children of transferable Defence Personnel , Central Govt. Employees and Personnel of All India Service, but other floating population desirous of having such common pattern of education are also eligible for admission to the remaining seats.The instruction is imparted through the media of Hindi and English in these Vidyalayas . The ultimate object being to enable pupils to achieve a reasonable measure of proficiency in both the languages . The Vidyalayas prepare pupils for All India Senior Secondary Examination and Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the Central Board Of Secondary education , New Delhi.

                 The Vidyalayas are being as Quality Vidyalayas with some of the useful features of popular residential Vidyalaya without making the schooling very expensive. The quality of teaching is kept reasonably by an appropriate teacher-pupil ratio and provision of a suitable proportion of teachers with high qualifications.

                 The Kendriya Vidyalayas aim at having not only a common syllabus but also a well-prepared syllabus and good Text Books based on that syllabus. They are intended to be equipped with good libraries, good laboratories and variety of other useful co-curricular activities. The Science Laboratory for junior classes is also established.

                 The Vidyalayas provide for the studies of Humanities and Science and many of them are multi-purpose in character providing for diversified courses in Commerce, Home Science and Technology.

                 The Vidyalayas impart Free Education upto class VII; Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has already adopted the new pattern of School Education i.e. 10+2 pattern. 

                  The Vidyalaya has been granted Modern School status
